Opportunity:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing advanced journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reports and analyses in support of monthly and annual financial accounting cycles. This role is also a key player in our internal and external audits broadening the position responsibilities. This individual will work with the Controller, other Accounting and Finance leaders, and various office and functional department leaders. The Senior Accountant will also assist on various accounting related projects and initiatives from time to time.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare advanced journal entries, and assist with accurate and timely month close process
- Perform in-depth revenue and other account analysis
- Analyze and review AR reserve to ensure proper bad debt accrual
- Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly internal financial statement package and other ad hoc financial reporting
- Key player in the completion of internal and external audits
- Review and update internal control matrix
- Partner effectively with other colleagues and departments on projects that require accounting assistance
- Assist with other accounting functions / special projects as needed
- Make recommendations and suggestions for improvements and efficiencies related to accounting functions
- Assist with miscellaneous treasury functions
- Assist with income tax, property tax, and sales/use tax payment and filing functions

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years' experience in accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Effective time management skills.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Awareness of business trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of colleagues including leadership.
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail with a commitment to excellence
