The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that DeVry University and business units operate in compliance with federal, state, organizational and divisional regulations and policies.
The Analyst ensures that regulatory requirements and business changes that impact the regulatory environment and compliance policies are appropriately incorporated and communicated.
Responsibilities
• Works collaboratively with colleagues in all functional areas to ensure timely submission of state licensing applications for new locations, new programs, annual renewals and exemptions, quarterly reports and other necessary applications and reports to obtain and maintain authorization to operate, grant degrees and recruit in each state for onsite and online education.
• Drafts appropriate, professional correspondence to state licensing agencies, including extensive narrative business correspondence and reports
• Interacts on a professional level with outside agencies
• Maintains all relevant databases and files in a timely manner and in accordance with Licensing team procedures
• Provides information and guidance to colleagues throughout the organization on regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Represents regulatory affairs in meetings in order to provide compliance guidance for organizational programs and initiatives
• Ensures that corrections in the areas of non-compliance are made timely and accurately; escalates unresolved items to manager as needed
• Works on specialized assignments such as research assignments, report development, data analysis, regulation monitoring and analysis, and marketing material review and approval
• Work with all functional areas as needed to develop new reporting capabilities and improve existing processes; provide prompt analysis where applicable
• Completes other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree required
• At least 2 years of experience in a federal/state regulated environment; experience in higher education regulatory compliance preferred
• Excellent organization, interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Is a detail-oriented problem-solver
• Can demonstrate a consistently great work ethic in a high productivity environment
• Can travel 10%
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and internet applications
• Writing samples required
