BRAND MARKETING SPECIALIST

Virtual - Marketing

Opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Brand Marketing, the Brand Marketing Specialist plays a key role in bringing high-impact brand initiatives to life through disciplined coordination and execution. The Marketing Specialist will assist in the implementation of brand campaigns and projects that elevate DeVry and Keller’s visibility, strengthen awareness and consideration, and reinforce positive brand perception among prospective students. This role offers hands-on experience across digital and traditional marketing channels and involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure brand initiatives are executed accurately and consistently.

 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, and collaborative, with experience supporting marketing campaigns in higher education or regulated industries. Strong project management skills, particularly in coordinating timelines, communicating across functions, managing details, and keeping deliverables on track, are essential.

 

This position is well suited for a proactive, detail-oriented marketer looking to deepen their skills in brand execution, creative development, data-informed marketing, and emerging marketing technologies, while providing reliable operational support within a strategy-led environment.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Brand and Campaign Execution

  • Provide operational support in the coordination and implementation of brand-specific marketing campaigns and projects, including managing timelines,  asset handoffs, and deliverable tracking.
  • Support the application of DeVry’s brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all marketing assets and internal and external teams by coordinating reviews, versioning, and asset availability to ensure brand consistency.
  • Assist in the rollout and adoption of updated brand guidelines and visual identity standards.
  • Support the management of brand experience and merchandise platforms (e.g., DeVry Online Store) through vendor communication, product updates, reporting, and asset organization.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Marketing, Academics, Product, and external partners to support the implementation of brand elements consistently across all communication channels, including the website, email, blogs, social media and paid media.

 

Brand Storytelling & Content Support

  • Assist in planning and coordinating marketing campaigns and projects that promote DeVry and Keller’s programs.
  • Provide marketing operational support, schedule management, and asset organization.
  • Partner with internal marketing stakeholders and external partners to support the development of brand-focused content that reflects market trends and adheres to established brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate asset management and tracking for storytelling initiatives involving students, alumni, faculty, staff, and partners.
  • Maintain content libraries, file organization, and metadata to support easy retrieval and cross-functional alignment.
  • Collaborate with Creative, PR, Email, and Social Media teams to deploy content that supports the university's brand reputation initiatives.

 

Project, Operations, and Vendor Management

  • Support the day-to-day operational management of marketing initiatives by coordinating schedules, monitoring task progress, tracking deliverables, and assisting with budget tracking, as needed.
  • Support creative production workflows, compliance routing, version control, and approval processes to ensure brand and regulatory alignment.
  • Support vendor relationships tied to creative, campaign, brand and merchandise initiatives, ensuring service quality and alignment with project needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, asset organization, and cross-team collaboration; contribute ideas to streamline marketing processes.

 

Data, Reporting & Optimization

  • Conduct competitive research to support the university’s  brand positioning, markets, and unique value propositions.
  • Identify and summarize marketing asset and campaign performance trends, providing insights that inform creative, channel, or content adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the Paid Media and Analytics teams to ensure consistency in campaign reporting and data accuracy.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required
  • 2-4 years of marketing experience, preferably in higher education or a regulated industry, with foundational knowledge of paid media, marketing operations, data analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Self-starter who thrives both independently and in a collaborative team setting, with a commitment to growing their marketing expertise
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and support team goals. Experience managing creative production workflows, compliance approvals, or marketing asset systems
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as Asana
  • Understanding of AI tools
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Salesforce (or similar CRM software) is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 5%) for team meetings or key brand events
