Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Academic Support
- Excellent delivery of courses (30 - 36 credit hours per fiscal year) across any/all modalities.
- Advising and mentoring of students.
- University Service
- Contribute to the University development via the following activities:
- Engage in course development (4-5 courses per fiscal year) and assessment support.
- Advising and mentoring of Visiting Professors.
- Engagement and support for group programs and initiatives.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position. Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in field being taught or master’s degree in related field with 18 graduate hours in field being taught.

- Three to five years of healthcare industry experience appropriate to the course subject matter.
- Three to five years revenue cycle management and medical billing industry experience.
- Two years previous teaching experience in the online environment.
- Qualifying credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Administration, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- All Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent.
- Five years previous online teaching experience preferred.
- Three to five years of healthcare industry experience related to:
- Electronic health records
- Data management
- Clinical documentation improvement
- Certified Documentation Integrity Practitioner (CDIP) credential from AHIMA
- Credentialing in any of the following Billing/Reimbursement/Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) certifications:
- AAPC - Revenue Cycle Management Specialist (RCMS)
- AAPC - Certified Professional Biller (CPB)
- AIHC - Certified Outpatient Revenue Cycle Manager (CORCM)
- AHIMA-Approved Revenue Cycle Trainer with AHIMA
